Georgia Aquarium with lunch vouchers Visit Stone Mountain, Perimeter Mall 4) Friday: Breakfast Buffet, CNN Tour, Marching Band Performance at Centennial Olympic Plaza, Lunch at Hard Rock, World of Coke tour, Festival Performance at one of the University's with adjudication, diner at a nice restaurant with lots of choices for kids. 5) Sat: Breakfast buffet, Six Flags, meal voucher in the park, Diner and award ceremony at Six Flags. 6) Sunday: Breakfast and drive home. 7) Julie told me that they are doing a Festival at a local University with adjudication and the award ceremony is at Six Flags with diner the next night? She did not know the name of the Festival company. 8) Here is the hard part - out of the 54 students - 9 are special finiancial needs students - they can only pay half. So no comps - but number to support 9 students rates at half off regular rate. 9) Budget is $500-600.00 per person for the CCIS portion of the trip. > The booster already purchased two buses for this trip. 10) Needs is by Dec 1 2013 if not before if possible. 11) Julia just called me back and said 49 students (9 hardship) and 16 chaperons and 1 director. So total number is 65. updated info from Joel: 11.18.13 >I understand that my Band Boosters have been in touch with you regarding our upcoming trip to Atlanta, GA. We have used your company before, but this time decided to go with another company. However, even at this late a date, I would be interested to see what you have to offer us as there are some things that we are not pleased about. I have attached our current itinerary and would like to follow it as much as possible. The following are answers to questions that were sent to me: 1) I am not sure of the Festival company for the concert band performance, but don’t believe it is a Music in the Parks. I know that the venue was supposed to be in a concert hall at one of the local Universities. 2) For the parade, we are supposed to march through Centennial Park so that we would have an audience. Marching through Six Flags instead would be fine as well. 3) Parade and concert are all that I want us to do. No marching band field show, please! 4) Our total school enrollment is 506. Our concert band is 50 and parade band is 53. Please let me know if you have any more questions and/or need any more information. The things your company offered us in the past were great and I am hoping that you can still offer them. 5)I am hoping you can help us. What we are looking for is an itemized breakdown of the cost to students and parents. Plus the 2 performance venues. We have secured our own buses. 6) From the Boosters:Can you please not put Stone Mountain into the itinerary and live either World of Coke or CNN to Thursday and leave the other one on Friday. Also, can you please not quote the Italian Restaurant and quote another nice restaurant with options for the students? By eliminating Stone Mountain and a pricey Italian dinner that the students won't eat should keep our cost down. Thanks...Julia 11.25.13 - called Julia's cell phone - only able to leave a vm. I personally want to thank you, Cindy and CCIS for all your hard work. Hopefully when the next trip comes around the booster organization will take you guys into consideration; unfortunately, by that time my daughter will have graduated and I won't be in the mix of things. 12/4/13: > BJS replied - Julia: I am sorry we will not be working with your group this year. I am interested to know why your group selected another company, when based on our conversations with you, we provided all of the inclusions you were hoping for, at a significantly lower price. Your input, as well as Joel’s, would be very much appreciated, so we can have a more clearly defined understanding of what it is you were / are looking for in the future and better meets your needs down the road. I look forward to your reply. 12/4/13: > Julie replied - Bryan: Unfortunately, Joel is no longer at Clear Spring. So, I will give you insight to what I know from our meeting. We were currently booked with another company, but wanted to expand our options and see what others had to offer, and since Clear Spring dealt with CCIS in the past, I turned to you guys for a quote. It was nothing that you guys did, it was the simple fact that the other company knew we were now looking beyond them and they came back with an incredible deal that we could not pass up. Thank you again, and hopefully Clear Spring can utilize CCIS in the future. 12/4/13: > BJS then replied - after calming down for several hours and sharing response with CJ for her approval. Julia: Wow, I wish you would have been honest with us from the beginning and made your intentions known, for I would have never permitted my staff to be involved in such a scheme. It is disheartening to learn that we were “used” in order for you to go back to the other company. You spent a considerable amount of my time, as well as that of my staff, putting together the trip you asked for, all at significant hard cost to CCIS due to our time & labor, for we show nothing to our clients until we can confirm it as available and guarantee the rates. Your considerable list of “special circumstances”, resulted in the over inflation of our rates, in order to accommodate all of the requested comps and reduced rate packages for the many adults and students. Beyond that, I am even more upset to learn that you are going to travel with a company that was willingly over charging your group thousands of dollars, and only came back with a better deal, when they found you had reached out to us for a quote. Why anyone would still want to do business with a company that is obviously gouging them, and acting in such an unethical manner, is truly beyond me. At CCIS, we do not play “let’s make a deal”, but rather offer our clients the best planned, all-inclusive trips of the highest quality, at very fair rates, and do it in a truly professional manner. I hope for the sake of the students and all of their hard earned work and dollars, that they have a safe trip. > Obviously, she never replied. . .
