We have actually discounted the trip $25pp from the computer rate! > BJS reviewed financials and then called Dwight and LVM . . . > "I can assure you that we are making less than 1/2 of what you have figured. Your hotel is more expensive than you figured, your comps are costing nearly $20 per student, and New York is an expensive place to go. I can understand your trying to figure it out; however, I am not going to itemize the entire trip, but again I will guarantee you we are making less than half of what you think. The festival companies make anywhere from 50 to 75 or 80% mark-up for a lot less inclusions, but we make no where near that. Please call when you have a chance, I will be in the office both Monday & Tuesday of this week." > Why is he working with the Quad rate? He is in the Radisson Suites and can do 5/Suite. If he is only going to do 4/Suite, he should have us change to a non-suite hotel. I put him in the Radisson Suites because DSC said he requested the Embassy Suites - they were sold out so I put him in the Radisson. . . Should we have rooms, he could even use some of our block at the Crowne Plaza on Musicate NY2 weekend. __X__ DSC __X__ 11/14/00: > Dwight called and spoke with BJS as DSC was out of office. > He is ready for Contract. He re-thought things and decided to go ahead with 5/suite. I told him if he didn't, we should change hotels to save him some $. He likes the suites and will go with five/suite. > Discussed deadlines. He is asking for all of the students $ by January 10, 2001. (I hope this works.) He is tired of multiple money collections and his parents agree - they would rather pay up front. We will see . . . He is sending his packet out to his students and parent on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving (11/21).
