Planning to take our Concert Choir, Band, and Orchestra to the Heritage Festival in San Francisco next March.

We would depart Sherman Oaks (Los Angeles) the morning of March 16th and return sometime on the 19th.  We�re estimating that we�ll be bringing 60-65 students total, our three directors, and two additional chaperones.  I understand that the Festival itself is in the Palo Alto area, but we would like to include some sightseeing in San Francisco and perhaps a performance exchange with another high school on Friday the 17th.  The students at the Buckley School tend to be affluent and sophisticated, so while we are looking to do the trip as economically as possible, we want to include some nice meals and cater to the parent base.

So, would it be possible for you to give me an idea of what we could expect if we booked this through you, including the transportation options?  Our initial inclination is to do the trip by chartered bus.  My department chair (and orchestra conductor), Vincent Houser, was impressed by what I told him about you and your business.

>  Vincent Houser, Performing Arts Chair, has headed up the trip for years.
>  Likes to use Heritage.
>  BJS explained our issues with Heritage and said we'd like them to make their own arrangements with Heritage to buy the FO package. Maybe they'll sell it directly to the school, since they won�t commit to us until after January 1, 2006.
>  John will have Vincent give me a call so we can discuss.
>  BJS to follow-up with John INW from Vincent by early next week.
>  BJS said that we could do their transportation, meals, attractions, etc. should Heritage require them to purchase their 4D/3N Package, but obviously, we'd prefer to handle the hotel as well.
>  Discussed inclusions such as Alcatraz, Clinics, Concerts, Theatre, etc.
>  Planning to leave San Francisco around 2PM on Sunday afternoon. Will leave LA on Thursday morning, around 7 or 8 AM. No reason to sit in traffic.

9/13/05:
>  BJS called John to let him know Vincent has not called.
>  Per John, Vincent does not want to work with anyone other than Heritage so John's hands are tied.
>  As they move on to bigger and better things, John will definitely make a call to us - he himself is not in love with Heritage ans wants to work with us in the future.
