4/12/17:
>  Pinecrest is where Good Counsel had clinics on Atlanta trip. BT talked to Len about his travel plans, would like to use us going forward.
>  44 + 6 = 50 pax
> They went to Orlando the week after we were in ATL. Worldstrides. BT got a text from Dr. Sparks (our clinician) who was on their trip. He said there were a few miscues. I asked Len about this, he was vague - said the trip went well overall.
>  We talked about next year's plans. It sounds like once every 4 years they take a trip and "perform in a major concert venue". Next year is this trip. He first mentioned DC (Kennedy Center or Strathmore). Would also like to to do something with Good Counsel if in DC. He also mentioned Boston (YEA/USBands concert series has something in Symphony Hall. Chicago Worldtrides is the backup plan (Festivals of Gold). UPDATE - Len can't travel during this first week of April, so Baltimore YEA is out.
>  DC would be 3/23/-3/27, 2018 weekend. Is there a possibility of something in one of these major venues? BT looked at YEA - there is Baltimore Myerhoff on 4/3/18. I texted Len to see if this was a possibility - DC/Baltiomore plus something at Good Counsel.
>  Boston could be 3/9 to 3/14:

>  RE: Boston - he mentioned flying, we talked budget. Usual trip is $650 - but was not really all inclusive. I explained how we work, this made sense to him. Other option if Boston could be to stop in DC area and do something at Good Counsel on the way.
>  Chicago: 3/23-3/27
We'll have to follow the Worldstrides itinerary.  Since it is one of their Festivals of Gold, they have everything worked out to the letter because of the honor band schedules, mass singing rehearsals and hour long clinics with adjudicators the weekend before the performance.
We would most likely handle this trip on our own and get in touch with you next year for a Washington DC trip that did not require a world class venue
>  Charter companies is Atlanta:
MLB Transportation for the past few years and have been very happy. Kingsmen, Atlanta Charter Bus Company, and Gogo Charters.
>  Here's the kicker - he says he has to "commit to the date for his school calendar TODAY". I've been trying to talk to him about his travel plans for weeks and he calls me yesterday. So basically, trying to find out if the DC venue thing is possible for these dates. If not, he will have to go with Boston or Chicago and "hope it works out".
>  FYI - School year ends for them Memorial Day weekend.

4/13/17:
>  After some back and forth with Len, it looks like he's going to try to make the DC/Philly trip work with the USBands concert event on Monday, April 23, 2018.
>  He's asking approval from principal, then we will get trip solidified.
>  Most likely:
>  Depart Thursday, 4/19/2018 for DC
>  Friday and Saturday night in DC - something with Good Counsel, maybe a clinic on our stage? He mentioned Anthony Maiello at George Mason. Smithsonian, concert NSO or BSO concert Saturday night. Mass at Basilica on Sunday then head to Philly. 
>  Sightseeing and dinner in Philly, event on Monday, depart and travel overnight back to Atlanta.

4/21/17:
>  BT texted Len about trip approval.
> tentatively approved for dates pending proposal and trip cost. 
> Perf. in Philly with the YEA thing is most important. 
> He asked if we provide discount for his family if they come "like Worldstrides". Puhlease. Anyway - explained how we do comps.
> decided to leave on Friday am and travel during the day - get to DC around dinner time.
