5/24/16:
>  BT met Eric and Katie for coffee at Starbucks for about an hour and a half.
>  nice chat about their program and trip experiences and desired.
>  Have used tour company in the past, bad exp., wouldn't name it. Has used Fiestaval before, never again. Have used Heritage, it went "okay". Sounds like kids and parents are into the competition stuff, he and Katie are not married to the idea of doing it every year.
>  They were looking for some fresh ideas/destinations. They are seeking quotes from other tour companies. They were honest and up front about this and Eric promised that he would never show our stuff to another tour company to see if they could match a price. I thought that was cool. I encourage them to get other quotes and compare, but please make sure to ask smart questions (bus, menus, etc.), and to give me the opportunity to make sure it's an apples to apples comparison.
>  I showed them the Prezi as well as an Orlando and NYC itinerary. Since they seemed warm on NYC, I showed them parts of the Skyline PTP so they could see the added value inclusions.
>  They have about 150-165 students, plus 11 adults. Looking at March 24 weekend in 2017.
>  Budget is usually $600 to $750 - not all-inclusive in the past. We discussed the added value here. One thing - like Walt Whitman, their chaperones don't pay ANYTHING. It's been a tradition they have tried to get rid of but have not been able to shake and Eric has been there for 8 years.
>  For their trip - they seem open to the idea of clinics, Broadway classroom, public performance - but want an audience. They sound kind of sick of festivals.
>  We talked about New York, Atlanta, they mentioned Charleston b/c Eric knows BD at USC - clinics. They also mentioned Myrtle, but a little early for that. 
>  They will discuss with OD and touch base next week. They want me to present the proposal to a small group of parents. He warned that the type of parents they have will push back, it's a "tough sell" he said. He asked what my response would be if they told me they could do it for cheaper - apparently they do a lot of the planning for him. My response it, if it's the same price why wouldn't you use us for the added value and security of having it planned. I explained about the trips we had to move b/c of weather, etc.
>  Overall, great meeting. I think they like that I'm local and also a teacher. They seemed to feel comfortable. I think if we get to proposal and I can present to parents we will be golden.
