>  BT met Elise at VMEA. Dave Cowell brought her by.
>  has used Custom Music Tours or something?? No real loyalty, no qualms about switching companies.
>  Had some "communication issues with them that her boosters didn't appreciate".

7/17/18:
>  BT spoke with Elise re: 2018-19 trip. Dave Cowell referral.
>  used Custom Music Tours in the past.
>  has only done 2 overnight trips. teaching for 11 years though. 
>  1st trip was Nashville which they loved - Belmont clinics. would do that trip again. kids really liked it.
>  Custom Music Tours- issue was it took forever for them to get back to them about communicating. She doesn't want to be chasing down the person. Board handles the money. Itinerary kept changing, price kept changing AFTER they told the kids how much it costs.
>  2nd trip - NYC, combined with Orch. and drama. Orch is huge at Grassfield....60 or 70. Choir was about 32, drama 15. Didn't stick together the entire time. A group of that size moving through the city was stressful. Stayed in Jersey. Custom also did this trip...full disclosure, orchestra director at Grassfield is married to the president of custom. Elise is not super comfortable with that. She didn't want to offend him. But she told him she would NOT be using them anymore!! Good for her!
>  Things they didn't like - NYC is good if students are crazy about broadway. Stayed at a La Quinta....dump! Itinery said Hyatt place and then they changed it on them. But orch. got to stay at the Hyatt...but price never got adjusted. WTF???? Kids didn't care...but, of course, the adults were pissy about it. Other issue was some days were packed, then times where there was nothing going on. Thought it should be more spread out...even. Did Broadway workshop.
>  Trips are stressful but she sees the value in it. Her philosophy is that there should be something educational/unique that they wouldn't do with their parents. Likes to try to think of people she might know and build the trip around it...clinician wise. Rather keep trips smaller (# of pax) rather than bigger. Less stressful. 
>  Would like to use us b/c of she really trusts Dave Cowell! She gets to decide about the trip.
>  Budget - Last trip was $850. Nashville...can't remember. same price...maybe a $100 more? $850 is comfortable. This was NOT all inclusive!!! Kids had to do lunches on own and meals en route. One day they had a $20 MC for lunch OR museum.
>  New Orleans was "thrown out to her". Boston or Atlanta? Thinking "closer". When I told her how far NO was - she was like no way!
>  Just choir - one bus. Open to everybody in program. But usually 1 bus is what she draws. 50 + 5 = 55. 
>  Doesn't know any clinicians in mind in these cities.
>  Dates: April 11 - 16 time frame, 2019. Limitations - missing 2 days of school max. Likely miss Friday/Monday. Could even get back Tuesday am and kids decide to go to school. 
>  BT sent a Boston and Atlanta IOG so she can looks at options and make a decision on destination by end of next week.
