I hope this message finds all well with you this week and that the school year is winding down nicely for you!
 
I wanted to touch base with you to let you know I was thinking about you and the possibilities of your future travel plans with your students.
 
CCIS (Complete Custom Itinerary Service) was started in 1993 by Bryan and Hollie Stevenson as a unique travel partner that recognizes the specific, important needs of group travelling, especially those of school music ensembles. Being former music teachers themselves, they have an in depth understanding of the wants and needs of school music groups that are planning trips that is unmatched, with uncompromising customer service.
 
Every final itinerary is complete and detailed and "all inclusive", from the time of the initial proposal to the day of departure. I would love to share with you samples of trips sometime at your convenience so you could see first hand the care and detail put into each trip. Some local schools who have travelled with us include Mount Lebanon, North Allegheny, Seneca Valley, Moniteau, Highlands, and Butler (just to name a few!) and I have many more references as well.
 
As your local Account Executive, I will be happy to answer any questions and meet with you at a time that best suits you to talk about the possibilities of travelling with CCIS. As a parent, musician and private teacher in the Butler area, I too understand the needs of school music groups and am convenient to your area to be available to give you the service you deserve!

> SN spoke to Mark yesterday regarding his new position!  He has 67 in the band and could foresee travelling with 70-75, including adults.  He'd like to explore either of these options for this school year during the first weekend in May:  Apple Blossom Festival, or if something less expensive is needed, Hershey, PA.

Also, next school year, 2015-2016, they are planning on going to Orlando.

8/8/14:
>  Per SN, Choir Director is also new and as well as being the CD, she is also Mark's Assistant BD!
>  They want to travel together as a department are are still thinking Apple Blossom Parade plus a clinic for the Choir, possibly at Shenandoah.

9/8/14

>SN spoke to Mark today about their upcoming Apple Blossom trip.  Details will be included here for now, but the trip is not entered yet, due to the fact that the parent meeting is tonight to discuss how they wish to proceed and the fact that the orchestra may join them as well, making this a full music department trip, with the addition of roughly 40-45 more students!

Notes so far, from conversation w/BJS:

Friday 11am departure with a 3pm "linner" stop at Buca di Beppo.  Fireman's parade at 5:30, then leave for hotel. Pizza delivery via $10 meal credits that evening.
Saturday, choir performance at front entrance to Busch Gardens. Spend the day at BG and Back to the hotel that evening, depart the next morning for home.

Mark says he really wishes to drive a long time after the parade so they can stay closer to Busch Gardens.  He really wants the kids to go to Colonial Williamsburg.  When he and I talked last, he understood that what we proposed to him did not include going to Williamsburg because of the distance from where he would likely be staying.  To make changes to accommodate a Williamsburg visit would likely increase the cost, which he also understands.  I'll talk to him sometime today and get a better sense of what he would like to see.
 
This is now a full music department trip!!

Hi Bryan and Stephanie,
   Sorry to hear of Stephanie’s health concerns – prayers for quick healing!
   We are uncertain of our plans for the 2018-2019 school year.  I have discussed some options with our band boosters, but likely looking to do a one day, or a one night type of thing.  If it’s overly simple we may plan this in house (it may just be an out and back bus trip), but I will let you know if we plan to use CCIS.
   I have not looked at dates yet, but our department discussions have been to return to Orlando, FL during the spring of 2020.  I’ll need to crosscheck the PSSA and PMEA schedules and let you know some date options when I can.  Initial discussions with our boosters have suggested options to fly to Orlando, and stay on Disney property/utilize Disney transportation.
   Bryan, thank you again for your support of our annual Mars Band on the Run – if you are driving on Rt 228 you will see the banners in front of the school with the CCIS course sponsor logo.
   Try to enjoy the beautiful weather – I’ll look forward to catching up soon.

   Thanks for the well wishes!  Stephanie is feeling a bit better and is slowly trying to get back in the swing of things.  I am sure she will be reaching out to you in the next few days.
   As far as up-coming plans, if 2018/19 includes a 2d/1n trip, we are always happy to assist.  We do several trips each year to Music in the Parks festivals, etc., at Cedar Point, Kings Island, etc.  I am sure Stephanie can share some sample itineraries with you if you’d like.
   As for Orlando in the 2019/20 term, that is such an exciting trip. We have had more group’s fly this year than ever in our history and most of these groups are staying on Disney property.  With that in mind, I would like to suggest that you speak with Stephanie about possible trip dates – maybe not specifics, since it is more than a year away, but about some specific times to travel when the Disney room rates can be as much as $100 or more per night cheaper than at other times of the year.
   One other thought, if the 2018/19 trip is going to be a smaller 1 or 2-day trip, traveling to Orlando between Thanksgiving & December 15, 2019 would be a great and cost-effective trip.  A couple of very important things to consider:
Disney hotel rates are the lowest of the year
You’ll avoid the 2020 rate increase that takes effect on January 1, 2020
Some of the least crowded park days of the entire year = more ride time for the students
Fewer performing groups in the parks, so better performance venues and times
Choir could participate in Candlelight Processional.

>  SN spoke to Mark at length this morning about traveling to Orlando in December 2019.  Dates will likely be 12/15-19 OR 12/16-20.  They have some flexibility.  They do think they want to fly and are prepared to pay for this, up to around $1200-1300.  Choir will do Candlelight, Orchestra will do a seated performance, Marching Band will obviously do a parade.  Anticipated PAX = 191 (160+30+1)
> FYI - This year they are just doing a day trip to see Phantom of the Opera and are using school buses to go to the show and back.  
>  Personal note:  They are living with Crystal's dad right now.  He is in hospice and isn't expected to survive much longer.
